Las Terrazas is a community located in the Sierra del Rosario that belongs to the Pinar del Rio province, at 50 km from La Havana and at 70 km from the provincial capital. Its highest point is at 563 meters above sea level.

Its relief is characterized by mountain chains, by summits slightly marked and, in many areas, by strong slopes. The valleys are rich in rivers, streams and lagoons of crystal clear water. The most important hydrographic relief is the Los Banos del San Juan, belonging to the strong river of the same name. Its lowest point is at 160 meters above sea level and the El Salon Mountain's highest point is at 563 above sea level.

The population of Las Terrazas is of approximately 1000 inhabitants.
