The beautiful Caribbean flora that includes 248 species complements the diversity of the fauna on this little island: 91 are medicinal plants, 72 are trees, 41 are meliferas and 40 ornamental. The territory is covered with mangroves of intense green. Different species of palm trees, fruit trees and coconut trees are also present.

In these rich surroundings are also located vestiges of endemic pre-Columbian cultures found in caves that hold beautiful sub-marine sceneries. These caves are located close to beaches.
