The Elguea resort is located in the province of Santa Clara, at 170 km from Havana and at 120 km from the provincial capital. Its streams, lagoons, wells and springs hold healing qualities.

Geologically, it is a zone of major complexities, of many geological layers, with numerous bearing faults and soils dating back from the Jurassic era to the quaternary era. Along the coastline there are numerous bays and little islands.

Elguea is located within a few kilometers from the beautiful beaches of El Salto and Ganuza. Its waters flow into the Atlantic Ocean.
