Culture in the region is characterized by deep rooted traditions like those of Majagua annual celebrations, the "parrandas" of Chambas and Punta Alegre, as well as other cultural traditions practiced through the years in the neighborhoods of Jamaica and Baraguá, and the municipality of Venezuela.
